Hypnotherapy is a state of physical and emotional relaxation which works with the unconscious mind. Our unconscious mind is responsible for all of our involuntary actions, such as breathing and heart rate as well as our memories, beliefs and values. During hypnotherapy the therapist will use different therapeutic methods to address the presenting problem. There are many myths surrounding hypnotherapy, however, it is important to know that nobody can be unwillingly hypnotised and even whilst hypnotised you remain in full control of any suggestions given. Hypnotherapy is a versatile therapy and may help with pain, poor sleep, fatigue or worry, low mood and stress along with many other physical and emotional problems which I would be happy to discuss.
