There are many different approaches to meditation suiting different people. Techniques range from ‘just being’, to simple breathing methods, dance & movement, including yoga, walking, and tai chi. Sound based using gongs, bells, songs, mantra’s, affirmations and prayers. Visual, using Mandalas, colour, guided journeys, candle flames and nature. Arts and crafts such as knitting, gardening, painting, and working with clay are also a means of meditation and becoming mindful.
At Elephant Rooms we have a range of teachers and therapists who would love to share their practice to give a taste of different methods and to share their love of meditation and mindfulness.
Each month will be different and we promise you don't have to be able to sit crossed legged on the floor.
There is no booking required, just turn up. Payment is donation based (suggested donation £5).
