(he/him)
I began my career as an Engineer in the armed forces and have engaged in various sports at local, national, and international levels. In my younger days, I was always up for a new challenge, and my physical condition earned me the nickname "Peter Pan." However, as I aged, my injuries became more severe, and the recovery time was longer. A friend suggested Reflexology and Massage, but I was sceptical. I even joked that I would rather walk barefoot on gravel than spend a few pounds on these treatments!
My life changed in my thirties when I sustained a severe back injury while playing football as a goalkeeper. I was given a choice to give up sports or walking, and with two young children, I couldn't bear the thought of relying on a wheelchair. I decided to try Reflexology and Massage, and to my surprise, the benefits were astounding. Not only did they improve my physical health, but they also boosted my mental wellbeing.
I was so impressed that I decided to become a qualified Reflexologist and Massage therapist through the AoR (Association of Reflexologists) in 2005. Since then, I've worked with clients, local sports teams, and professional athletes, gaining more qualifications on the way. I've also become a qualified football coach, manager, and club physio, retiring from the game only in 2020. I've driven Rally cars, won the Midlands Championship, played cricket, golf, and competed in both field and target archery. I'm also a keen gardener and grow my own vegetables. None of these achievements would have been possible without the treatments I received and continue to receive regularly.
I've learned that the body is like any other machine and without proper maintenance, it will fail to function correctly.
